October 2007
I love fall! The weather finally turns bearable and there's always the holidays to look forward to, which are coming a little quicker than I'm ready for. I have too much to to before Christmas, and I'm not nearly able to get them done as soon as I'd like to. I got a "pre" birthday card (drawing) from one of my nieces yesterday in the mail that completely made my day! And, it made me more anxious for my visit in December. I never get to see all of my 11 nieces and nephews often enough, so they're different little people every time I see them. They're all so precious. And not having any of my own, it's fun to have them (and to not HAVE to take them home). October is just a beautiful month, probably my favorite, and not because it's my birthday (I could do without the effects of aging) or Halloween (which I've really never celebrated), but just because the weather is gorgeous no matter where you go and fall seems to bring with it the feel of calm. It just suits me. I've actually met a wonderful man recently and after a year of being single, it's been kind of nice to have someone special to spend the quiet hours with. We met online (because I never leave the house to meet anyone any where else) about a month ago and he's been a constant in my life since. I've never been good at the relationship thing (obviously, since I'm almost 32 and still single), but I'm looking forward to the possibilities this one may bring. He is a single father of 3 kids, two of which live with him. He just recently moved to Vegas, so he's not been "damaged" by any Vegas women, which is lucky for me. The kids are wonderful and I spend as much time with them as I do him. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that maybe this one will last.

September 2007
Ok, so I have no idea what the hell I'm supposed to put in a blog or how anyone can have that much to talk about, but here goes nothing! Unfortunately, this has not been the greatest year ever, but I can't say as I've ever had a "Greatest Year Ever" just yet. I'm still keeping my finger's crossed! Yet, it's hard to believe that the year is almost over. All I can think about is Christmas and getting to see my family! Once a year hardly seems fair, but I'm grateful for that.
Single life is as wonderful and as miserable as ever. I'm not sure that Vegas is the place to be to find "real" people, but for now it's home. I always imagined 30 was old and by now I'd have a husband, kids, and all of that fun stuff by now. It's amazing how things NEVER go as you plan, well at least for me anyway. But, I'm as happy as a free-willed, broke, homebody can be, I guess.
